Gear up for a weekend of
culture and passions in BGC!
On December 1 and
2, Bonifacio Global City will take everyone to the cultural celebrations of the
world, and let them discover ways to live out their passions—whether it's arts,
culture, food, music, dance, and more in this year’s BGC
Passionfest with the theme The World is
Here: Festivals Around the World.
The whole stretch of
Bonifacio High Street will become more lively and colorful than ever as it
recreates the vibe of four global destinations: our very own Philippines,
Europe, Asia, and the United States with iconic decors such as banderitas, an
Eiffel Tower installation, Chinese lanterns, and US flag-colored buntings. BHS
will also host a wide selection of activities for guests to take part in—such
as games, workshops, exhibits, and colorful cultural presentations.
With a Passionfest
passport in hand, guests can take part in
the various treats offered by each block, including a chance to grab some
delightfully blended fruit juices from Filipino brand Locally; score
fashionable pieces and unique finds at the bazaars of Urban Pod, Mommy Mundo, and the Embassies of
the Czech Republic and Vietnam, among
others; catch exhibits and a book launch, as well as witness loads of
performances like a comic pantomime show, and short theatre plays; and even
learn how to make loads of arts and crafts from the Katipunan Weekend Market.
Meanwhile, guests looking for more action can navigate their way around a giant
inflatable set courtesy of Color Manila, take part in bike sessions, or join
rounds of fitness classes on kick aero boxing, yoga, and pilates led by Anytime
Fitness.
There’s also a BGCitizen
parade and concert to watch out for that will surely wow the crowd with
performances from young, homegrown musicians such as the soulful acoustic performer
Syd Hartha, the funky-energetic IV of Spades and indie folk band The Ransom Collective.
“We are anchoring this
year’s BGC Passionfest activities on the festivals around the world because
these are great sources of creativity and energy. Through this, we would like
to influence others of this vibe, and inspire them to pursue their interests,”
said Sean Luarca, BGC’s Marketing and Community
Relations Head.
