Derick Bocito (Teleperformance Fairview), Trish Cabilao
(Teleperformance Aura) and Ronnie Cadag (Teleperformance EDSA Greenfield) will
represent Teleperformance Philippines in the upcoming Mr. and Ms. BPO pageant
Teleperformance, the worldwide leader in outsourced
omnichannel customer experience management services, officially announced its
candidates to the first-ever Mr. and Ms. BPO pageant in the Philippines.
After a nationwide screening of more than 400 hopeful
applicants, Derick Bocito of Teleperformance Fairview, Trish Cabilao of
Teleperformance Aura and Ronnie Cadag of Teleperformance EDSA Greenfield made
it to the Top 20 male and Top 20 female finalists of the contest.
Derick Bocito, 25, a Workforce Management Supervisor at Teleperformance
Fairview in Quezon City, started his BPO career in 2013. Originally a preschool
teacher based in Albay, Derick moved to Manila in search of greener pastures.
He chanced upon a job opportunity at Teleperformance, and started working as a
customer service representative. Not long after, Derick was promoted thrice for
his excellent performance. While living alone in Manila remains to be a
challenge for Derick, he is proud that he is able to support his family in
Bicol through his stable and rewarding job in the BPO sector. He believes that
by joining the Mr. BPO pageant, he will be able to inspire more people to
achieve their dreams.
Trish Cabilao, 19, a customer service representative at
Teleperformance Aura in Taguig City, faced challenges at an early age. With her
family’s financial woes, she had to stop her college studies. This, however,
did not prevent Trish from achieving her goals. When she saw a career
opportunity at Teleperformance, she grabbed it right away. Today, Trish is one
confident young woman who is hungry to prove herself. She wants to be the
first-ever Ms. BPO to serve as an inspiration to the youth in overcoming life’s
challenges.
Ronnie Cadag, 24, a graphic design specialist at
Teleperformance EDSA Greenfield in Mandaluyong City, grew up with humble
beginnings. At the age of two, his father passed away, leaving him and six
older siblings to the care of his mother. Ronnie had to help his mom sell fish
in the local market just to make ends meet. Determined to provide the best life
for his family, Ronnie knew he had to study hard and to work soon after
college. Landing a job in the BPO as technical support representative opened
doors for Ronnie. From taking calls to designing artworks for Teleperformance,
Ronnie takes pride in being a BPO employee. He is determined to become the
first Mr. BPO to inspire better appreciation of the industry among Filipinos.
Teleperformance Philippines Senior Vice President for Human
Capital Resource Management Jeffrey Johnson wishes the company’s candidates the
best of luck. “We are proud of you, Derick, Trish and Ronnie, for representing
Teleperformance at the first-ever Mr. and Ms. BPO. This is a great opportunity
for us to tell the whole country the inspiring stories that have helped shape
the BPO industry and touched the lives of so many Filipinos,” Johnson said.
With a total of 25 BPO companies fielding their candidates
to Mr. and Ms. BPO, the pageant expects to draw in thousands of supporters and
spectators at the Grand Coronation happening on November 21, 6:00 p.m. at the
Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Organized by Royale Chimes Concerts and Events, Mr. and Ms.
BPO aims to promote the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector through a
nationwide search for the ideal BPO ambassadors. These ambassadors will
showcase the industry’s dynamic and diverse workforce, progressive career path,
world-class work environment, socially responsible companies, and the
industry’s significant contribution to the country’s economy.
