This new shared service centre, together with the one in
Malaysia, is envisioned to be the IT hub for AXA in Asia, and later to Japan.
They will eventually stand as central hubs of actuarial expertise, serving as
centers of excellence in areas of actuarial product pricing and valuation,
providing guidance to the Asia entities in improving processes and services.
“We have massive ambitions for AXA in Asia,” shared Gordon
Watson, CEO of Asian Markets. “We want to leverage on the AXA brand—the number
1 in the world for 9 years now—and with the shared service hubs, we intend to
achieve this by offering innovations in customer service.”
With up to 300 jobs expected to be generated, the shared
services centre is seen to be a boon to
the growing business process outsourcing industry in the
country, while strengthening AXA’s leadership position in the industry.
“The opening of this shared service centre couldn’t have
come at a better time,” said Rahul Hora, AXA Philippines CEO. “We want to make
one more mark in the AXA world and the BPO industry in the Philippines through
IT transformation and enablement, thus doing our share in nation-building.”
