“For over 20 years, PPFI has been working with
different organizations to execute programs that help improve healthcare access
for Filipinos,” Geoffrey Garcia, PPFI Manager, says.
“Blood is a precious gift that we can give to
patients suffering from life-threatening conditions. Through the blood donation
of our generous volunteers, we are able to play a part in helping save lives,”
he added.
Pfizer Philippines Foundation, Inc. (PPFI) is
the corporate social responsibility arm of Pfizer Philippines. Founded in 1997
to solidify Pfizer’s leadership in contributing to Philippine society, PPFI
seeks to serve communities to improve health outcomes for a healthier
Philippines.
By collaborating with NGOs, the government, and
other agencies as well as actively promoting employee volunteerism, PPFI aims
to initiate and develop sustainable equity-based programs that will
significantly improve healthcare access on three focus areas: HIV/AIDS, cancer,
