The Far Eastern University (FEU) celebrated love during TAM
VOWS 2018, an all-expense paid wedding celebration for couples within the
community. It was held at the FEU Plaza and organized by students from the
university’s Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (ITHM.)
“TAM VOWS is more than just an annual event management
project for our students; It’s a celebration of our identity as a caring
community, and the Tamaraw spirit of sharing,“ FEU President Dr. Michael Alba
explained.
The event, on its fifth year, provided an unforgettable and
unique experience for 12 couples who eagerly tied the knot before God and law.
The FEU-ITHM students made sure that it was a day to remember, leading in every
step of the way, from conceptualization, logistics, entourage coordination to
financial management, supplier meetings, legal arrangements, and everything
else in between.
Alfie Boado and April Joyce Baldaran was extremely happy
about the celebration. The couple has been together for 12 years and has a
family of four. TAM VOWS presented them an opportunity to finally tie the knot.
“I am so grateful to FEU and the student organizers for this once in a lifetime
experience,” Boado said. “It feels great to celebrate with our loved ones and
our FEU family on this special occasion.”
Members of the administration, faculty, and student affairs
made the event even more meaningful as they stood as principal sponsors for the
couples.
The event’s sponsors were SGC Event Management, Ibarra’s
Party Venues and Catering, Swit Doll Events, Luz De Dia Flower Shop, and Vest
Alternative.
