Leading homegrown appliance
manufacturer Hanabishi joins another one of GMA Kapuso Foundation’s projects,
the Feed-A-Child project, as they continue their mission to sustain every
Filipino home with practical and quality products. Launched last June 22 in
Presentacion, Camarines Sur, in time for Nutrition month this July, the 120-day
Feed-A-Child project helps keep children nourished in school, their second
homes.
“We are happy to partner with Hanabishi once again as we
continue reaching out to communities that need us the most. Together with our
trusted partners, we hope to help enrich the lives of more Filipinos across
communities, including far-flung areas that are not readily accessible,” GMA
Kapuso Foundation Founder and Ambassador Mel Tiangco shares.
To complement other major sponsors who will be providing
meat and food products to over 350 undernourished children, Hanabishi thru
GMAKF, will be providing chest freezers to selected schools for the duration of
the feeding program, to ensure the freshness and quality of these goods.
“Through the years, Hanabishi’s partnership with GMA Kapuso
Foundation has allowed us to make a difference in homes and schools, which
serve as the foundations of society. We hope to inspire parents and school
leaders alike to instill strong values of compassion and generosity in today’s
children. As we seek to enhance the lives of Filipino families with quality
home appliances, we are also committed toward doing the same in schools, which
are our children’s second home,” says Hanabishi President Jasper Ong.
Hanabishi’s partnership with GMA Kapuso Foundation is
part of the company's corporate social responsibility program, which aims to
extend support to impoverished and calamity-stricken communities across the
country. The latest project of the partnership involves Hanabishi’s donation of
electric fans and water dispensers to the Malaya Elementary School in Pilillia,
Rizal, for the benefit of over 1,000 students. Hanabishi has likewise, provided
appliances to the Kapuso Village Integrated School in Tacloban; complete sets
of home appliances for over 200 houses in the Kapuso Village in Iligan and for
600 houses in Leyte and Tacloban since its partnership with GMA Kapuso
Foundation began in 2012.
