LAMUDI LAUNCHES FIRST AFFORDABLE HOUSING FAIR

The biggest affordable housing–focused event is slated this weekend, July 15 and 16, at Glorietta 3 Activity Center

In its effort to provide Filipino homebuyers the most comprehensive listings of available properties both online and offline, leading real estate website Lamudi will gather property developers and sellers in a big property fair exclusive for the affordable housing segment.

Scheduled to happen this weekend, July 15 and 16, at the Glorietta 3 Activity Center in Makati, the largest showcase of affordable properties aims to reach as many Filipinos. Lamudi is setting the event to be an avenue for Filipinos to find the right property that best fits their budget.

“We acknowledge that home-ownership is one common aspiration shared by all Filipinos, but due to the continuous growth of the industry and consequent increase in property prices, this dream is becoming more and more elusive to many Filipinos, especially to those who do not know where to search. For this reason, we are organizing a housing fair specific to the affordable market,” said Bhavna Suresh Chathambeth, CEO of the Lamudi Group (Lamudi Philippines and MyProperty.ph).

“This slice of the market needs most attention not only from the government but from private players as well. That’s why we at Lamudi wants to jump-start the work by organizing the very first affordable-focused housing event,” Ms. Suresh.

This event showcasing affordable homes will not be complete without its educational segment, which is why Lamudi has partnered with CNN Philippines to bring in the country’s most influential people in the industry to discuss affordable housing. Lamudi has also tapped investment professionals and real estate experts to talk about investing, hassle-free property purchase, and more in a series of free seminars.

In addition, the country’s key shelter and social-insurance agencies—Pag-IBIG Fund and Social Security System (SSS)—will take part in the upcoming event. SSS will talk about Investing in Foreclosed Properties and How SSS Can Help during an investment seminar on July 15, while the Pag-IBIG Fund, on the other hand, will conduct a Home Buying Seminar on the second day on July 16.

“An affordable housing event will not be complete without the presence of these important government agencies. I believe that their programs will be significant in finally realizing the life-long dream of Filipinos to own a property,” shared Bhavna Suresh Chathambeth, CEO and managing director of the Lamudi Group (Lamudi Philippines, MyProperty.ph).

The free event is open for all who wants to visit. Visitors can also get a chance to avail themselves of exclusive property discounts from noted real estate developers, and win freebies and exciting raffle items from the wide range of partners and exhibitors. Foreclosed properties auction and virtual reality in real estate will also available in the event.

SMDC, Century Properties, and ProFriends Inc. are just some of the major sponsors of this upcoming affordable housing–focused event. The Lamudi Affordable Housing Fair is the second installment of the Lamudi Housing Fair series that started November of 2016. The first edition was attended by more than 5,000 visitors. Guests are expected to double this year as the event will cater to the biggest chunk of the housing market.
