Hanabishi, Mega Prime gather mommies together for healthy, fun-filled cook-off

Number one homegrown appliance manufacturer Hanabishi partnered with Mega Prime, leading distributor of canned goods and ready-to-eat viands, for the Rainy Day SOUPrise Prime Blogger Event held on July 25 at the Enderun, Bonifacio Global City.

Manila, Philippines. July 27, 2017 – In line with efforts to help more Filipinos, particularly mothers, achieve a healthier lifestyle for their families, number one homegrown appliance manufacturer Hanabishi partnered with Mega Prime, leading distributor of canned goods and ready-to-eat viands, for the latter’s Rainy Day SOUPrise Prime Blogger Event held last July 25 at the Enderun, Bonifacio Global City.


The fun-filled event, which was also held in celebration of Nutrition Month, included a cooking demo by Mega Prime Quality endorser and Prime Mom Marian Rivera and Chef Nino Logarta, followed by a cook-off involving mommy bloggers. There were also games and surprises for all mommy bloggers who joined the event, which also aimed to serve as an avenue for mothers to find their perfect cooking partners

Hanabishi representative Ronwaldo Villanueva shared, “On behalf of Hanabishi, I would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Mega Prime for giving us this opportunity to work together toward our shared goal – to ensure Filipino family’s access to right nutrition. In these fast-paced times, it is so easy to opt for instant solutions to problems, even food needs, which as we know have disadvantages. Through sustained efforts such as this partnership with Mega Prime, we hope to be able to help mothers, ang mga praktikal na nanay, in ensuring a better and healthier lifestyle for their families.”

Hanabishi is advocating the return to the culture of home cooking, Mr. Villanueva said. “The company’s vision is to see more families wanting to come home and eat at home with their loved ones instead of eating out, which is the trend nowadays. This is also why we’ve been supporting SMEs through our cooking appliances as a way of empowering mommies and small businesses achieve healthy eating and, consequently, a healthy lifestyle,” he added.  


During the event, appliance partner Hanabishi raffled off exciting prizes that will allow the practical Filipino family to shift to healthy eating. Among the prizes was the Hanabishi HIC 90 induction cooker, which mothers can use in preparing meals more efficiently given its five different functions and features. The prizes also included the Hanabishi HFS 65ss food steamer, HGrill 2-in-1 griller, HDEO 30pss electric oven and HRC 18R2C rice cooker.
