Hanabishi, GMA Kapuso Foundation champion education, inspire Filipino youth

Hanabishi, in partnership with GMA Kapuso Foundation, reaffirms its commitment to education with donations to an elementary school in Pililla, Rizal

Hanabishi, the number one home-grown appliance brand in the country, once again reinforces its commitment to fostering education and providing a more conducive environment for learning by teaming up with GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF). As part of its series of donations to different schools, especially those in remote provinces, Hanabishi has recently given away appliances to Malaya Elementary School in Barangay Malaya, Pililla, Rizal.

The company’s donation, comprised of electric fans and water dispenser units, will benefit over 1,000 students of the Malaya Elementary School.

“For more than 30 years now, Hanabishi has been providing Filipino homes with quality yet practical products that empower families to enjoy the comfort of their homes more and ensure each family’s stability from increased cost savings,” Hanabishi President Jasper Ong shares.

“As hard as we worked for our brand to get to where it is now, through sustained modest gestures such as donating wall fans and dispensers to schools, we believe we will be able to make a difference in the community and help in the fulfilment of more dreams,” he added.

The ceremony held at the Malaya Elementary School was attended by representatives from the GMAKF, government and school officials, and other sponsors.

Malaya Elementary School Principal Solita Combis extends her gratitude to the foundation and Hanabishi, “I would like to thank the GMA Kapuso Foundation for their generosity and help in gathering donations from quality brands such as Hanabishi. Learning is no easy process, especially with our country’s summer heat. The wall fans and water dispensers will definitely improve ventilation and hydration in our classrooms, which will help our students focus more on their school work and activities.”

Hanabishi Representative Ronwaldo Villanueva said, “Hanabishi continues to support the advocacy of GMA Kapuso Foundation not just in rehabilitating schools but more so in providing better learning facilities for our students. We hope to be able to continue to help students across the country to have more comfortable classrooms conducive to learning. Hanabishi is a partner not only of the practical moms but of everyone who envisions a better future for the Filipino youth.”

Hanabishi has been a partner of GMAKF since 2012. The company has provided appliances to furnish the recently built Kapuso Village Integrated School in Brgy. Sto. Nino, Tacloban as part of this partnership. Apart from this, Hanabishi  has also donated complete sets of home appliances for 200 houses in the Kapuso Village in Iligan and 600 houses in Leyte and Tacloban.
